It is highly probable that at some point in time your data has passed through technology from DigitalRoute. If you turn on the heating in your house, travel by airplane, buy a train ticket or make a call with your phone from anywhere in the world there is a great chance that the company behind these services use our technology to work with their data. You may not know about us, but the companies you trust to provide these daily services certainly do. The role is based out of our headquarter in the central of Stockholm.

We are looking for a DevOps Lead to join DigitalRoute's development leadership team and help us to 1) ramp up DevOps and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practice across our development teams (Sweden, Malaysia and Bulgaria), all operating in an agile (Scrum) fashion and 2) ensure it is running and working. It is a unique opportunity to shape and define how we release our mission-critical software to some of the largest brands around the world, Coca-Cola, Volvo, VMware and Verizon to state a few.

As the DevOps lead you will:

  • Drive the adoption and implementation of DevOps practices throughout our development organization, more specifically for our SaaS product (Usage Data Platform), acting as a coach, subject matter expert and process owner
  • Identify, evaluate and implement tools needed to implement the processes as well as ensure complete transparency and up-to-the-minute information on the status of releases pushed to the cloud
  • Be responsible for the overall delivery pipeline of our SaaS product, from inception (Product Management) to operations (SRE)
  • Be the interface between Product Management, Development and SREs during the release planning and roadmap definition processes
  • Work very closely with the Quality team to devise strategies to increase quality and test automation.
  • Be a key stakeholder of our support and maintenance policies: SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, deprecation, support schedule, etc.
  • Be forward-looking and monitor industry trends and practices to ensure our release process remains current and can support new development trends
  • Be a key member of DigitalRoute's ProdTech leadership team

To be successful you will need to display the following traits:

  • Collaborative - yet able to bring distributed teams to closure
  • Transparent and direct communicator
  • Goal-oriented and can-do attitude
  • Highly organized, analytical
  • Technically-curious and always eager to learn
  • Hands-on and with enough successful experience (or scars!) to ensure your advice carries weight

In addition, the following experience would be required:

  • Minimum of 3 years in a release management or development position in an organization that has embraced DevOps, agile and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)
  • Deep expertise in either AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with modern development and release management tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, Github, Jenkins, Artifactory, DockerHub, Amazon ECR.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required
