System administrator - Linux

It is highly probable that at some point in time your data has passed through technology from DigitalRoute. If you turn on the heating in your house, travel by airplane, buy a train ticket or make a call with your phone from anywhere in the world! There is a great chance that the company behind these services use our technology to work with their data. You may not know about us, but the companies you trust to provide these daily services certainly do.

We are looking for talented System administrator with a clear focus on Linux environment and that want to participate in building on the success story of DigitalRoute.

You will be part of our Internal IT team, where we are currently recruiting two system administrators, and you will have an important role in our journey to become a key business enabler for our organization. You will contribute and help build the new structure and processes.

We have a comprehensive technical platform based on virtualization (VMware). We run both Linux and Windows and the infrastructure is primarily hosted by an outsourcing partner.
Our workplace IT consists of both Windows and Apple which requires knowledge about both platforms.

As a System administrator at DigitalRoute, you will

• Perform daily operations, maintenance and governance of all hosted solutions

• Architect, design and implement a secure and reliable infrastructure

• Proactive work with life cycle management and outage prevention

• Process automation with scripting in Python/Bash

• Collaborate and follow up with our IT outsourcing partner to secure a well balanced relationship

• Assist our ProdTech and DevOps engineers with operations and maintenance of our Kubernetes cluster

• Challenge and improve the current processes, infrastructure and way of working
  
  

We believe that you

• Have proven System administrator experience (3-5 years)

• Have experience and worked with Jira, Confluence, Containers (i.e. Docker), Ansible (or similar, merited - not required), Jenkins, Artifactory, Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Apache, NginX, SSL/TLS, Networking, Databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle)

• Are comfortable with collaboration, open communication and reaching across the internal departments.

• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Swedish is a merit but not a requirement)

• Can easily create and troubleshoot scripts in Python and Bash

• Emphasizes the mindset “security by design”

• Are an adaptable and pragmatic problem solver

• Emphasizes the importance and takes pride in system documentation

• Are curious about cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP or OpenStack)
